Putting aside the fact that Ashleigh was 17 years old when she went to meet Peter Chapman, and so was outside CEOP’s child abuse remit, the organisation’s panic button would have been no direct use to her. She did not suspect the motives of the teenage boy she thought she had met on Facebook. She would not have contacted CEOP.
